Damn the Cannons Psyclomaniacs!

SAD NEWS FROM KAMLOOPS: Intermontane Challenge. About one year ago I started flogging this event...fortunately there was some discombobulation amongst the ranks over timing of the Teampsycles entry, a Boxing Day SALE and then nawt. MTBR has a thread or more discussing it in relatively real-time and links to others. "SABOTAGE,  DISORGANIZATION and INJURY"...mostly just another day on the Court of Dingle, but for mortals, this must suck ...

It’s a Shitstorm in Here

Two days gone by, no updates. I could do this all week. Honesty and integrity are the main motivators. If you have nothing nice to say, say it. If you have nothing new to say, shut up. I would and could, dredge up some one thing and pratter mindlessly about it all day, every day, all week...but that's so BEEN OVERDONE. What's to update? Dear Blog; This weekend there ...

Kontact and Brevity

In an half-force-handed attempt to scoop the big poop scooper (thereby asserting our continued dominance in the realm of things domineering - not to be confused with mountaineering or engineering or whineering) the Empire would like to be the first to post the picture of the latest diSSent (Fe) MYSTERY MACHINE. Last week loyal readers and TEAM followers were all tantalized, titillated and ultimately, disappointed, by the proceedings and lack ...

Best Website Evr

Speculation and alienation continue to be topics of impotence at and around the Misfit water cooler. Which incidentally is a tap. A damn fine tap. The swiveling (and removable) kind made of genuine silver coloured plastic, complete with a button that offers its user the choice of a standard stream or shower-type spattering. Aside from the people that know, no one else knows who the new TEAM rider will be. ...

Demo Daze

Yesterday you were posthumously and partially introduced to a few new members of the Misfit Psycles Demo Fleet. Some observant readers noted: A) "One of the frames is Pink" As I had CLEARLY stated this fact, these readers were killed for being redundant. B) "There are ONLY 2 demo frames shown and NOT 3 (Medium, Large, XLarge)" That is correct.  Upon hearing of the demo 'completion' one eager-reader came to the Court ...

Writing Wrongs

It is painfully and apparently evident that I have little in terms of earth shattering smatters to offer. My Today: Make coffee. Marineland mug in hand, head towards my-mac. About face half stair to replenish the depleted cup. Filter spam, print midnight orders, sigh repeatedly, attempt to prop head in chair for brief morning nap. Resist urge to get dressed and process said orders. Ricky Martin once said it best (...

Running Out of FX-pletives

While an update on the status of new prototype bars was promised on Friday...there wasn't and I didn't but we did do something better. 6 HOURS OF POWER. Ellicotteville NY. 10.1 mile loops. 1250' climbing per. Technical root/rock single track. 6 laps in 6:24:59 60.6 miles 7500' 70 sec out of 3rd 87 sec out of 2nd 9 min 26 sec out of 1st I really ought to use a pit crew. My calculations going in to ...

Expeditedishlialioshus. And how.

Apologies for yesterday. When I get excited things happen. Partially it's a paternal instinct to protect those of you I would be protecting, if your enemies weren't of your own creation. Mostly it's chemical, endorphin endorsed manic prattle. Factually it's because I wish I was Mark Lepper. At least that I exhumed a fragment  of his residual popularity. MISFIT PSYCLES: NEW PROTOTYPES AND SHITE Four days ago the Empire sat ...

Biased Assimilation and Attitude Polarization

Prior Theories on Subsequently Considered Evidence. The internet has practically, effectively, all-but and likely absolved all peoples of first party exploration in place of external affirmation. Science is dead. Research?  Empirical Theory? Replaced by search and select. The beauty of such? First and foremost, simplicity.  Bunsen burners and beakers are not readily available in the 'Independent Thought Aisle" of WalMart. Secondly, unlike the linear mathematics or scientific theory, when the ...

Friends Like Me

Eleven days out. One week and Two ends off the Court. There is a mess of shite that needs shipping, a pile of bills that need paying and one story - so full of generosity and completely devoid of covet that it NEEDS to be told. You must hear it. Such a selfless act by this Empire will only solidify it as possibly the greatest of all times. A story ...

Breck Epic: Stage 5

Stage 5 and day 6. Finale. Finally. But not finally as one might assume from the gut wrenching insights spewn forth over the past week. Finally. A stage where I could ride. And ride. And chase. A moderate to short stage by comparison with a mere 6000' (or so) of climbing. Unlike previous days, the bulk of the climbing came in the form of rail-grade gravel roads and NOT goat assisted tundra ...

Breck Epic: Stage 4

Stage 4 is day 5. What they said about yesterday. NOT SO MUCH. Stage 3 (being day 4) had nothing on today.  Today being day 5 (Stage 4). While shorter from a mileage standpoint and shallower from a climbing standpoint it was not the subtle hangover they had promised. Stage 4 (being day 5), kicked me. Hard. Several times. I will go on record and state that not once, but twice I quit this stupid thing. Fortunately there ...

Breck Epic: Stage 3

Stage 3 is day 4. The biggest of the big they say. They say that every day. Lots of climbing. Lots of climbing at altitude. Lots of descending. Lots of technical descension. Suffice to say my positioning did not improve. It will not improve. Stop asking. I did climb 70% of the ups. I did ride 100% of the downs. I felt about 75%. If only the Breck was 8 days, not 6...I'd totally kick it ...

Breck Epic: Stage 2

Stage Two is Day Three. And it felt every minute of it. Another 'short' day in terms of mileage. Another 'effort' in terms of vertical. Another 'shit storm of flaming legged death' in terms of altitude. Thrice today we crapped above the 11,000 mark. Not all that intimidating is it. 13 deg maybe. 1 mile maybe. Like all previous days, the efforts were not without reward. Of course what goes up...except this ...
