Grammaw’s big adventure

Woo hoo! We did it - me and anthony conquered the transrockies! Anthony - now known as quadzilla - on a single speed and me on a fully geared. Day 6 was definitely the hardest mentally, but we pulled it off. I heard people say that race organizers called it the most grueling stage in all of the years to date. And guess what - I learned how to really ride ...

womyn’s perspective…

I am told I should tell the tale of the Purple German. He was the Fuhrer of Food. The Kaiser of Caterers.. You want more? No! Well, on my drive from Whiteswan to Elkford (Stage 4? I started losing track), I stopped for some much needed relaxation - and a break from the boys. There was a lovely natural hotspring going into the glacier-fed river in a. series of pools. I ...

So, yeah... You'll see the pics posted soon I'm sure, and rest assured I am thoroughly embarrased. I am certainly not used to random people calling out my name. Especially when even they don't know why! All in good fun. The extended Misfit crew is awesome. Speaking of which, we've all met some really great people on our way to the finish line today. We've all been sharing tons of ...

Hey that was easy.

I got bike! I rode bike fast! It was fun. My bum hurts, and I'm getting drunk really fast. But I'm just so happy that I was able to do this. Without getting all sappy on y'all, I had a gas. Not to mention I got to ride with Mark Lepper. Jeff (not eaten by bear, just punched)

Fernie and Bust

A supposed short sprint of 48km's and 650m of vertical...not so sure about that. Once again Michael thought it would be funny to mess up as many people as possible, except this time he had a partner in crime. It seems Jeff hadn't tried hard enough in the days prior. He left poor poor Gordo hobbling up the hills on his one remaining knee and taunted my partner into ...

Anthony & Kendra – Stage 6

What a day the carnage is excessive as I walk back to the tent at about 1030pm you could hear the proverbial pin drop, many I mean many people dropped out today!! We all knew this was going to be the stage from hell and joked about it at dinner last night. Well there was no joking when we hit the line in the morning this stage was a monster 116...

six down… one to go!

Big day today. 116k with 3 big climbs. First climb was right off the start with very little warm up. Peter and I hit it hard and we made very good time before entering the single track. After the single track things leveled out a bit with rolling double track. Second big climb was well graded for our gearing... We constantly traded spots with several other teams. Misfit has built a ...

Alive

Marc and I just finished our 6th stage. It was the toughest of the week and it was awesome. Well, except for the road bits... Don't get me wrong, it kicked our ass, but I still loved it. The climbs were huge! Tomorrows stage into Fernie should be a pleasant cruise by comparison. Some sweet singletrack I hear... See y'all soon. Mark. Oh yeah, in regards to previous posts, don't ...
