Woo hoo! We did it – me and anthony conquered the transrockies! Anthony – now known as quadzilla – on a single speed and me on a fully geared. Day 6 was definitely the hardest mentally, but we pulled it off. I heard people say that race organizers called it the most grueling stage in all of the years to date. And guess what – I learned how to really ride downhill. The alternative was anthony duct taping me to my bike and pushing me over the edge! For my ghoulish clients – injuries weren’t too bad. A few scrapes and bruises, one endo, one classic ‘drive over top of another cyclist at 40kph to land on. my head, and two separate incidents of bruised ribs. Overall, it was an amazing 7 days and I want to say thanks to misfit pete for giving me the opportunity to meet and ride with such an awesome group of guys – especially anthony, who really developed a sense of patience! Thanks hammy – good on you!
To my friends – glad you believed I could do it, cuz I sure had my doubts.
A few highlights:
- found out who mark lepper was
- met so many incredible people
- the optimistic attitide of michael (crash) who inspired me and who never gave up
- the mountains
- crossing the finish line in Fernie
And I know I’ve said before (right tone?), but what the hell was I thinking . . .
Kendra (slowrunner/rider)
Anthony developed a sense of patience?? Anthony Hannem?? Are you sure?
Hi, I’ve been trying to contact you about buying a SS Psycles and having problems with your email. It kept bouncing back. Please contact me back as soon as you can. I know this is off the subject to your “Grammaw’s big Adv”, just trying to get ahold of your company. Thanks.
