What follows are the guidelines for the Misfit Psycles Warranty.
We would like to apologize in advance for any tone, attitude or sarcasm that may or may not be present in these here guidelines, we'd like to but we aren't so we won't.
Take it for what it's worth. A solid product backed by a solid warranty from a company that cares more about riding then rules and conditions.
Common Sense:
Every product manufactured by Misfit Psycles was designed to be functional, practical, durable and bestow upon it's owner great gobs of glory.
Each and every Misfit Psycles product is tested by real people, real people with average abilities, real people with average abilities under various conditions. These are long term tests that take place long BEFORE it is made available to the cycling public. ALL Misfit Psycles products remain under test during the life-span of the product.
IF WE SELL IT, WE RIDE IT. NO EXCEPTIONS
Of course, no amount of design, engineering or testing means shite if you are hell bent on riding like an idiot.
The Misfit Psycles Warranty REQUIRES that you (the rider):
Ride (and use) our product(s) in accordance with the products intended use and specifications.
Ride/utilize our products within the confines of your ACTUAL ability.
Inspect your frame and components frequently for signs of wear or damage.
Wear proper safety gear.
Sometimes shite happens.
In the case of a manufacturing defect, we have the Misfit Psycles Warranty.
Coverage:
The Misfit Psycles Warranty is limited to the ORIGINAL owner.
In the event of a warranty claim, the product may (at the sole discretion of Misfit Psycles) need to be returned for evaluation. Should the product need to be returned to Misfit Psycles, all shipping charges will be the responsibility of the claimant.
Misfit Psycles reserves the right to repair or replace the product at it's sole discretion. Every attempt will be made to accommodate the warranty claim in accordance with the terms of the original purchase, HOWEVER, from time to time and periodically product styles, designs and colour options may be modified. The Misfit Psycles warranty can not REASONABLY protect the purchaser against these changes but your aesthetic preferences WILL be given consideration.
Replacement of discontinued products shall be accommodated with the most compatible product available, if a compatible product is NOT available a refund may be issued.
Proof of purchase and/or proof of warranty activation WILL be required.
Un-Coverage:
Manufacturers defects are defects caused by the manufacturer. This includes materials and workmanship.
Normal wear and tear is NOT covered. Failure as a result of fatigue is NOT covered. Improper assembly is NOT covered. Improper (or inadequate) maintenance is NOT covered. Installation of components, parts or accessories not intended for or compatible with the Misfit Psycles product (as sold or intended) is NOT covered. Damage or destruction due to an accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect are NOT covered. Any labor charges for part replacement or the like are NOT covered.
Misfit Psycles DEEPLY regrets to having an UN-COVERAGE component to the Warranty...it is an unfortunate necessity...see the Final Thought should you fit here.
Duration:
Misfit Psycles diSSent frames come with a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Misfit Psycles Nummers frames come with a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Misfit Psycles components (including handlebars, conversion kits etc) come with a 1 year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Note: All (other) components manufactured by (other) companies are NOT covered by the Misfit Psycles Warranty.
These components are covered DIRECTLY with the manufacter, in accordance with THEIR warranty policy. Components NOT manufactured by Misfit Psycles can NOT and will NOT be accepted if they are returned to Misfit Psycles.
Terms:
Warranty consideration is NOT a matter of ESP.
For any warranty request to be considered, you MUST contact Misfit Psycles IMMEDIATELY (contact details can be found below).
Once you have contacted us with the nature of the problem you MAY be requested to provide Misfit Psycles with one (or both) of the following; the product or a photo.
Contact MUST be made PRIOR to returning the product. UNAUTHORIZED returns will NOT be the responsibility of Misfit Psycles.
Final Thought:
Misfit Psycles is a vastly gigantic Corporation, despite our intent to rule the world through ham fisted might, we also have a soft spot for good people.
Should you have a problem with ANY Misfit Psycles product - one that falls outside the scope of 'Manufacturers Defect' - be it due to normal wear, crash, abuse or just plain stupidity, DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT US.
While we won't expand or deviate from the terms of this warranty, we may be willing to make concessions to loyal and straight shooting customers.
